Jessica Marie Kilde, 33, of rural Ogema, is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter in the death of her boyfriend, Richard Alan Baity, 41, also of rural Ogema. She appeared Tuesday in Becker County District Court.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call around 10 p.m. Friday of a person who had been run over by a vehicle on 370th Street East in Maple Grove Township. They found Baitys body on the road about 160 feet from his driveway.

According to the criminal complaint, injuries to Baitys body and evidence at the scene indicated he was dragged to the scene. A broken portion of tie down strap located nearby appears to be consistent with ligature marks on Baitys neck...
The vehicle had a strap tied to the top of the door frame of the passenger side rear door that matched the strap located near Baitys body.

Court documents said Baity and Kilde were drinking and doing meth the night he died....
Court documents we obtained say Kilde changed her story several times. Originally she told authorities that when she got in her car, Baity was standing on the deck. Another time, she said she had very little recollection of what happened and how Baity ended up on the road.
