"BRANTFORD, Ont. -- A 15-year-old girl told police she was abducted from her backyard, taken to a public area and and sexually assaulted early Thursday.

Police said that the girl reported that at about 1 a.m. she was grabbed by man in her backyard, then forcibly walked to a public location about a kilometre away along Fairview Drive and attacked."

The Brantford Police Service would like to advise the public of an ongoing investigation of a sexual assault that occurred near a school on Fairview Drive.



On August 21, 2014 at approximately 1am a 15 year old girl attended to her back yard and was subsequently grabbed by an unknown male. The female was forcibly walked to a public location approximately 1km away and was sexually assaulted.



Brantford Police Major Crime unit, the Child Abuse Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit and Forensics Identification Unit have been investigating this crime since reported early the same date. The K9 unit was called in and retraced the path of the abduction which resulted in the seizure of evidence.



The suspect male is described as 6’, medium build, white, bearded, wearing a black hoodie with a kangaroo pocket, and black Addidas pants (with three white stripes down the legs).



Video has been seized from businesses in the area. Police are asking store owners to check any outside footage of their business between 1230am – 230am on August 21, 2014 for footage of a teenaged female and a male (described above)."
