North Wales Police have launched 'Operation Orchid' in an attempt to find the identities of 14 cold case UIDs, going back up to 44 years. Several are likely to be drowning victims, others were found buried.

The oldest case is a man found hanged in 1970, the most recent is a man found in a river in 2011.

'Under Operation Orchid, officers are using the latest advances in DNA technology in a bid to conclude enquiries that started several years ago and help bring some closure to families of missing loved ones.'
