LCSO responded to a home at 238 Capitol Street Sunday morning in reference to an odor coming from the residence. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased female at the residence. Due to the nature of the incident, detectives with the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene.

During the investigation, it was learned that a missing persons report had been filed at that same residence on August 24th. That missing person was 42-year-old Tamara Jean Davis.

A man claiming to be Davis' husband told WINK News that his wife had been killed and his son confessed.

After several interviews, a 15 year-old was taken into custody and charged with homicide. Deputies have confirmed the teen is the son of the missing woman.

Friends later clarified to WINK News that the teen was not Davis' husband's biological son, and that the couple had been living together for several years.

Members of the family's church are taking care of her husband. They told WINK News they'd removed Davis' son from the home several days ago, after she'd gone missing.

Well that answers my question about where the boyfriend and son were.

I wonder where he hid her body?

Sam Sweeney was in court this morning where he says Tyrese Landrum invoked his fifth Amendment right and did not talk to anyone. He will be held in juvenile detention for 21 days. His next court date is scheduled September 18 at 9 a.m.

Neighbors, who say the smell was so strong they could not sit outside, said detectives told them parts of a dismembered body were found hidden in a vent inside the home and underneath the home, NBC News reports.

Neighbors who talked to WBBH in Fort Myers say detectives believe Landrum allegedly dismembered his mother's body and hid some of her body parts in a vent and underneath the mobile home. Crews with hazmat suits were around the home removing the body Sunday, according to neighbors.

They say Davis' boyfriend also lived at the home, and they cannot understand how he didn't know anything was wrong.

Recognizing the photo of her that the media is using is also a mugshot, no surprise at all that the comments indicate the area where they lived is high-crime. His FB photo also looks like one taken in a jail. Dismembering one's mother? Drugs or just evil?

Casiano told a deputy taking the report that he and Davis had gone to a friend's house on Aug. 21 and she was drinking. He said he asked her if they could leave but she wanted one more beer and then he gave her his last $10 to go buy more alcohol.

He told the deputy that when he returned to get Davis she was highly intoxicated.

In the report, Casiano said that he walked Davis home and she asked to take a shower while he walked their three dogs around 11 p.m. He said that each of the dogs took about 20 minutes to walk and when he returned, he heard the shower still running but Davis was nowhere to be found.

Drug use, prostitution, theft, and physical violence; neighbors and friends of the family told investigators that behind closed doors, Davis and Landrums' home was a living hell...

A family friend told investigators that Landrum would call her to pick him up because his mom was "doing drugs or something" with people in her room and said Davis wasn't getting her son his medication...

Chionopoulos is certain, whatever the verdict, nobody will come out a winner. "It's most likely he's going to end up in a mental health facility or he's going to do some prison time."

From January 2016:

North Fort Myers teen sentenced, could be released early

Tyrese Landrum, who was 15 when his mother died in September 2014, will serve nine to 12 months in a high-risk juvenile facility for a manslaughter charge followed by a step-down program at a facility which provides psychiatric treatment and counseling.

The treatment will continue for three to nine months, or until he turns 21 -- on April 28, 2020.

He'll also be on adult probation for 10 years without the possibility for early termination.

Davis' boyfriend, Marcos Casiano, said in November that the idea of Landrum being on the streets in such a short time was baffling.

"It's wrong. I can tell you this is wrong," he said. "You imagine what he can do to his mother. What (can he) do to everybody else?"
