During the 911 call initially made at 11:48 a.m. Sept. 9, a man who identified himself as Rix said he had shot Linderman but that she was still alive, and he asked for a medical helicopter.
When a deputy responded to the scene at 260th Street and 90th Avenue in the town of Baldwin, Linderman was found dead, covered by a blue tarp, with her head near the car's front passenger floorboards and her feet extending into the rear seating area, the criminal complaint states. There was also a car tire on top of her body, and she was concealed from the outside of the car -- a black Mercury Cougar registered to Linderman...
On the ground near Rix were a .22-caliber revolver and a knife, and he was taken into custody. At one point, an investigator allegedly heard him yell during a medical examination, "I actually shot my girlfriend this morning" and "I shot my girlfriend in the face today on accident," the complaint states.

A 22-year-old Lake City, Minn., man was charged in St. Croix County Circuit Court on Monday with felony counts of first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse, and possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with the shooting death of his girlfriend, Angel C. Linderman, 28, of Lake City.
Tanner J. Rix faces life in prison if convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, which is a Class A felony. In his court appearance Monday, St. Croix County Circuit Judge Eric Lundell asked if Rix understood the gravity of the charges. His answer was yes.
Rix is being held on a $250,000 bond.
