Jerry "Cheez" Carr, Jr. was last seen around midnight on Aug. 2. When last seen, he was wearing pajamas. It is unknown if that was what he was wearing when he disappeared.

According to the Highway Patrol, Carr is 33 years old with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has distinctive tattoos.

The Poplar Bluff Police Department received information last week that Jerry Carr, Jr., reported missing in Caruthersville last month, was seen in South Poplar Bluff on Sept 3rd at 5:30 pm.

According to a Carr family member, Jerry Carr was a passenger in a maroon 1990’s model Chevrolet regular cab pickup with a black stripe on the hood. Carr may be in the company of an older white male who goes by the name “Cajun;” and he may be frequenting a residence in the 1800 block of Indiana Ave in Poplar Bluff.

Caruthersville, MS – Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Office, We Help the Missing and the family of Jerry Lynn “Cheez” Carr Jr. are asking for the public’s assistance with locating Jerry Jr., who goes by “Cheez”.

Jerry Lynn "Cheez" Carr Jr. has been missing for nearly 6 months with few leads to go on; his family is extremely worried and anxious to at least know if he is okay. Jerry’s family is pleading for anyone with information about him to please come forward! He is desperately missed!

A family member of Jerry Lynn Carr, 34, who was reported missing to the Caruthersville Police Department on Aug. 22, 2014, contacted officers to report they had found what they believed to be Carr's remains.

Greenwell said officers worked through Monday night to gather evidence from the scene. The sheriff said personal identification found at the scene "indicated the remains might be" that of the missing man.

However, an autopsy will be scheduled in Farmington as soon as possible to determine cause of death and make a positive identification, according to Greenwell.

I'm not really feeling anything super suspicious here...checked out of a mental health facility and promptly goes missing...remains found with no evidence of foul play...drug overdose after a relapse? Does suicide count as foul play? Because that would seem like a possibility as well. Seems like (according to the comments on that Facebook page) that the family feels it's murder by a local crooked cop (same one who turns seized drugs as evidence into profit for himself). Just seems like they may be in denial and finger pointing to me.

On the above mentioned FB profile there is a post dated September 7 2017 stating the remains are those of Jerry Carr. I searched for a while but this is the only place where this is mentioned.

With this and the posts on his page which has been called "In Memory of Jerry Cheez Carr" I think it can definitely be ruled as he was found.
