Anita Fox, a 72-year-old housekeeper, was found dead in a residential entryway of the home on Frontier Court, detectives said. The motive for her death is unknown.

Police appealed to the public for help in locating a man driving a mid-2000s two-door pickup truck in connection with the crime. The truck is said to be cream or champagne colored with racks designed to hold pipes. The license plate is unknown.

A composite sketch of a white man with close-cropped hair was released, with police emphasizing that this "person of interest" is not currently considered to be a suspect. The man is said to be around 40, medium height with a heavy build, and was last seen wearing a blue or gray t-shirt with blue jean shorts.

Police said Fox showed signs of trauma, but that police don't know specifically how she was killed. There is no apparent motive for the murder.

Fox was the housekeeper at the home where she was found, and the gardener of the house found her body and called 911.

Police said Fox arrived on time to work about 11 a.m. and was found dead by 11:30 a.m.

Thanks for starting this thread Okie! Interestingly, while the FBI and the Texas Rangers have not been asked to help with Christina Morris' case, Colleyville sought them out because of lack of homocide detective.

"The vehicle of interest is described as a mid-2000s, 2-door pickup truck, police said while the make and model was not known, it was described as a cream or champagne in color with metal pipe bed racks. Police did not have a license plate number.

Because the Colleyville Police Department does not have its own homicide detectives, the FBI and the Texas Rangers have been asked assist in the investigation,."

“We don’t believe it was a random act of violence,” Colleyville Assistant Police Chief Robert Hinton said. He declined to provide details, saying the investigation is ongoing.

Fox was killed Sept. 23 while working at a home in the 500 block of Frontier Court. She died of multiple stab wounds...

Just days after the killing, authorities released a sketch of a person of interest — a pickup driver seen leaving the area. But police said Friday that information on the sketch wasn’t needed anymore. No details were released.

Police: Housekeeper killed in $1M insurance scam

COLLEYVILLE, Texas — A housekeeper who was found dead near Fort Worth in September was killed as part of a $1 million insurance scam, police said Wednesday.

Anita Fox, 72, was found dead in the entryway of a home she was cleaning in Colleyville. Another employee, who arrived to water plants, found her with multiple stab wounds and severe trauma to her body.

The homeowners were not there at the time.

Bernard Gorman, 27, was arrested Wednesday in Davenport, Fla., and has been charged with murder in Fox's death, Colleyville police said. Gerard Gorman, 48, Bernard's father, was also a suspect in the slaying.

But by the time they got to Gerard Gorman he had died, [apparently] of natural causes. Bernard Gorman was tracked down in Florida, where was was arrested Wednesday morning.

"This is one of the most complex cases I have ever been involved in," said Holder.
Police say Fox's murder was part of an insurance fraud scheme.

Investigators say someone took out a seven-figure insurance policy on her life, one that Fox did not even know about. Court records show Gerard Gorman was paying to maintain it. Police say the two planned it out carefully, and killed her to collect.

Wow, the POI sketch above was spot on.

They believe the duo planned an "elaborate, organized scheme" in which they drove to North Texas from Houston, targeting and following Fox around to determine her habits before striking...

It is unknown whether the insurance agent who sold the policy will be implicated. The FBI and Texas Department of Insurance are investigating whether more people are involved and if there is a larger insurance fraud scheme.

The recent hearing gave further insight into the bizarre slaying of Fox, a case that authorities say revolves around greed, a secretive clan and life insurance scams. Although neither side identified the suspects as Irish Travellers in open court, the Star-Telegram has learned that the Gormans are part of the itinerant ethnic group.
