The victim was discovered on August 26, 1980 in Canyon Country, Los Angeles County, California
Estimated Date of Death: one to two months less than one year
Cause of Death: gunshot wound to the back of the head. A .25-caliber jacketed bullet was removed from the temporal area of the skull.

The victim was located in the brush on a hilltop, 1/2 mile west of Sierra Highway, 3/4 mile north of 25221 Sierra Highway, in Canyon Country, California. A worker inspecting some nearby water towers came upon some human bones, scattered in a 10-foot radius about an oily spot
She was another victim of the Sunset Strip Serial Murders. The suspect, Douglas Clark, was put to death.

On August 26, 1980, the skeletal remains of an unidentified female were found in the vacant lot of an oil field located approximately .6 miles north of 25121 Sierra Highway in Newhall, California (Los Angeles County). Based on the condition of the remains, it is believed she had been deceased less than 1 year prior to discovery. She had light brown to blonde hair that was approximately 8 inches in length. The decedent had pierced ears and was found wearing one yellow metal ¾ inch hoop earring as well as a red zip-up sweatshirt. The decedent had a healed craniotomy on the left parietal area of her head. She also had 4 fillings in her teeth. The reconstruction featured above is an artist’s rendering of what the Jane Doe may have looked like. Anyone with information should contact the Los Angeles County Coroner, reference case number 80-10981.
