County investigators said reed was last seen the day before, walking into the old Lopez Supermarket off Ringgold Street in downtown Brownsville. She walked in with two other people to buy three bottles of Coca-Cola...

Investigators reported that 41-year-old Jorge Medina is a suspect in Reed's murder.

The district attorney's office is not releasing details of Reed's autopsy but said she was not sexually assaulted. They believe the motive in her death may have been retaliation.

A person of interest in a 21 year long cold case has been arrested at a football game in Brownsville.

The Cameron County District Attorney’s Office will question Medina in the case, spokesperson Melissa Landin confirmed.

It is not clear what role Medina might have played in the disappearance of Reed, and authorities have not yet charged him in the case.
