Sheriffs spokeswoman Sgt. DB Gates said, We can say the body we discovered today is related to that earlier investigation. It was information we received while continuing to work the Shelly/Marshmallow case that led us to the location here.
The body found today is female, but we still dont even know who Shelly/Marshmallow is. Thus we have no missing person reported that we can try to match it to. Detectives are still out at the scene processing the area for evidence, and other detectives continue to chase down leads and interview people who may have knowledge of how this victim ended up here and who she may be...
Sheriffs spokeswoman Sgt. DB Gates said detectives in the area were investigating a missing-persons case when they found a body in heavy brush behind a row of four-plex homes in the 10700 block of Sixth Avenue South.
