Tammy Sellers Holland, of 964 Loflin Hill Road Lot 24, died from stab wounds, according to the sheriff's office. Holland lived alone, said Capt. Derrick Hill.

A neighbor coming home from work about 2:10 a.m. saw lights on in Holland's house. "He went to check on her and saw something in the window," Hill said.

When deputies arrived they saw a woman inside who would not respond to them, according to the sheriff's office. The deputies went inside and called for EMS, who confirmed Holland was dead.

The neighbors say they went to check on Holland Monday after noticing her car was still in the driveway when she normally would be at work. There was no response.

When the neighbors later returned to the house, a dog appeared at the window which caused the curtain to move. The neighbors spotted Holland’s legs and called 911.

Did she have an ex?
Was she robbed?
From the first link above:
"Deputies say there is a person of interest they want to interview, but have not made any arrests.
The Winston-Salem Journal reported that the sheriff’s office has received calls from the address which are relevant to the investigation. Details of the nature of those calls were not released."

With that in mind, I would suspect the previous calls to the home may be DV related.

MOO

Very sad, and also to read back to when she was trying to find homes for the puppies in August. Apparently Izzie is one of her dogs who had gone missing? The poor woman. At least she had faith.

Rest in Peace, Tammy
:rose:

Right she had gone from loosing a missing dog, cutting her finger and getting a staph infection just before she was murdered. Not to mention she seemed sad and lonely. So sad.

It will be interesting when the POI is divulged by LE and the reason behind her murder. It also seemed she didn't like living where she was and was hard-working trying to make ends meet. Just very, very sad.

:(

Very sweet lady and loved by many! She worked at a local pizza place around here for over 10 years. Always smiling and just an all around very nice lady. She lived alone and everybody in this town wants justice for her. There are many rumors going around as to who it was and what happened.

Sounds like she was lonely and let someone in her life that she shouldn't have.

I worked the funeral visitation for this family. Such a sad, tragic and senseless loss. My heart just grieves for her loved ones.

Holland, 51, died of 13 stab wounds and a slash across the left side of her neck, according to an autopsy report...

Detectives told medical examiners that Holland had a fight with someone she knew about 24 hours before she died, according to the autopsy report.

Detectives hope the laboratory results will help with the investigation, Hill said. He added, “We’ve got some suspects that we’re looking at.”
