Sad that it has been so long since she was reported missing. I'm in the suburbs of Dayton. She also has a twin sister.

Praying she is found soon.

"She left the house that morning to go buy diapers and milk for her children before taking them to the day care center," said her grandmother, Bette Roebuck. With no sign or call from Owens, her grandparents filed an official missing persons report on October 24...

According to the family, Owens, works at the Waffle House off National Road in Vandalia. She has a twin sister and three children under the age of 6...

It's unclear what store Owens may have gone to to buy diapers and milk. Or if she made it there.

Sister of missing mother asking for public’s help
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The family of a missing woman is asking the public for help to bring a mother of three home safely. Amber Owens, 23, was last seen October 21st. Her twin sister, Alicia, said she was the last one to see her. “I woke up at 4:30 on Wednesday in the morning, aching everywhere,” said Alicia Owens. “I just knew something was wrong.” Alicia said her and Amber went to a party on Genessee Avenue the night of her disappearance. “I asked her if she wanted me to take her home,” said Owens. “She told me no. I hugged her, gave her twenty dollars, struck her hair, and told her to call me when she was on her way home.” Amber would call her sister less than an hour later while driving home. The next morning, Amber did not show up for her job at Waffle House.

The family can't believe the amount of support from the community. Sheriff Phil Plummer dropped off around 100 gifts for Amber Owen's kids. He has been friends with the family for years and is hoping the act of kindness can help alleviate some of their grief...

Amber's grandmother was proud to say thanks to the community support Amber's funeral expenses have been paid off.

And the sheriff says they have a person of interest in the case.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office ruled the cause of death as “pending” because results of a preliminary autopsy were inconclusive. Results from a full autopsy are expected to be available in six to eight weeks.

Family members said they suspect foul play in Owens’ death, and indicated she was involved in some volatile relationships. They hope someone will come forward with information that could help detectives determine what happened to her.

Husband convicted and sentenced in death of Amber Owens

http://fox45now.com/news/local/husband-convicted-and-sentenced-in-death-of-amber-owens

"I personally did not want to go through the trial. It would have been so devastating with all the elements and details," said Bette Roebuck, who raised Owens from infancy.

The details that took Amber Owens' life will not be revealed after Mays took a plea deal with prosecutors, which avoided a trial. He was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault, abduction and several other charges, including gross abuse of a corpse after her body was found along a Trotwood road two months after she disappeared.

"It's been very, very rough. I have cried many a day, missing her. My issue is how am I going to be able to tell Amber's little children that she left behind that their dad caused her demise," Roebuck told FOX 45's Natasha Williams.

Mays will spend the next 19 years in prison for his role in Owens' death.
