A Florida mom-to-be undergoing a cesarean survived 45 minutes without a pulse - and is now a 'picture of health', doctors say. A team of medics at Boca Raton Regional Hospital spent three hours trying to revive 40-year-old Ruby Graupera-Cassimiro after a rare, amniotic fluid embolism during the operation.
Doctors were just preparing to call her family into the room and announce her death, when she spontaneously resuscitated and blips began to appear on a monitor. They say it's nothing short of a miracle, especially as Ruby suffered no brain damage either. Just a month later, she's at home with her new baby and doing just fine.
