Parts of several babies and sheets of skin, including that of an adult with tattoos, have been found in a package destined for the US, in Bangkok, Thailand. They were believed to be going to an address in Las Vegas.

'The parts were found preserved in containers filled with formaldehyde solution, leading Chawalit to speculate they could be for "a collection or for educational purposes".'

An investigation is underway.

#Thailand media: American questioned & released after trying to send to US via DHL "baby parts suspected stolen from a medical school.

Police quote the American saying he bought the "baby parts" from a night market in Thonburi. #Thailand

Isn't it against the law to just send bits of human bodies through the mail in Thailand, for heaven's sake? I don't understand why this guy was just released - I'm pretty certain if he's a bona fide medical professional in Vegas he wouldn't be buying body parts at a night market in Thailand and sending them back to the US by regular mail!

Two Americans were questioned, who fled to Cambodia when they were released. One has been named as Ryan McPherson who was once questioned over violent, exploitative videos he made about homeless men. They told Thai police they bought the body parts at a night market as a 'joke' to send to 'a friend' in Vegas. They included a baby's head, a sliced foot and a heart with a stab wound.

The FBI have been informed.

'Police said the body parts appeared to have been removed and preserved by a medical professional.

AFP news agency said the containers looked similar to those used to preserve corpses at Bangkok's Siriraj Medical Museum.'

'The three parcels were addressed to three people in Las Vegas - Stk Media, c/o Eugene Johnson, 3070 W Post Road; R Jene, 2697 Ruthe Duarte Avenue; and Ryan Edward McPherson, 2913 Benrado Lane.'

Details emerged that the sender of the three packages was a Eugene Johnson residing at 865 Wang Mai, Rama I Road, Pathum Wan district in Bangkok.'

WHAT do these creeps want with a babie's head and skin?

Chicago Tribune have run the photo Thai police showed of the body parts. The baby's head is especially distressing and in now way 'joke' material, in my opinion. This is really suspicious - even if they were stolen from a hospital, why would a hospital be keeping samples of tattooed skin?

I really hope the FBI ask some searching questions when these two return to Vegas. Even in the unlikely event they didn't break Thai laws, I'm sure they must have been trying to break US ones by attempting to send body parts through the US postal system.

Thai police, having arrested and released this pair, have now issued arrest warrants for them. They say the body parts were definitely stolen from a museum.

All they have to do is get them back from Cambodia now. Daniel Tanner and Ryan McPherson have said they would return voluntarily if Thai police wanted to speak to them again, but I suspect they'll catch a flight straight to the US, if they haven't already.

'Two American men entered Thailand on Thursday to steal human body parts from the Siriraj Medical Museum, according to the hospital.

The preserved baby's foot, human heart and sheets of skin obtained by Ryan McPherson and Daniel Tanner came from the hospital's exhibition according to Udom Kachintorn, dean of the hospital's Faculty of Medicine.

“According to CCTV footage, the foreigner who shipped the body parts visited the museum, but we did not see him take the body parts,” Udom said. “Police will investigate to find out if the suspect put the body parts in his backpack or bribed the museum staff."

Udom made the admission this afternoon and said the hospital was filing a police report.'
