I hope it's a good day. I hope Nurmi bores even his own expert enough to say "Do we have to keep doing this!? I've said it all a hundred times already! Let me have my life back!!!!

JA is a very scary and bizarre individual IMO.

One amazing thing to think about is how she can sit through her own trial and just sit there smiling and joking it up at times with her mitigation specialist and her other female attorney all while very incriminating and embarrasing testimony is going on.

She views it all as damaging only to Travis and does not even see any of it as embarrasing to herself. She has such tunnel vision that she never looks at herself or sees any of this trial in how it portrays her.

During the first phase, there was very few times she ever broke down. And at times she seemed like she had to fake the tears because she saw how others in the courtroom were upset so she almost seemed to fake being upset herself.

IMO she has serious issues with being able to feel empathy for others.
Another example is when testimony of her parents abuse to her. The way she calously described it on the stand in first trial is shocking in itself. It was as if she cannot possibly feel what her parents might think about it and she doesnt care about their reactions to what is said about them.

Another example of bizarre behavior is in 1st trial right at end during sentencing phase. The way she almost gleefully described selling T-shirts and how she could make money was just so bizarre and so trivial in the big scheme of things. To her, she cannot grasp the severity of her crimes and so she brings up non important trivial things instead.

We could all tell she wrote a lot of what she was saying during the first sentencing phase. What stands out like a sore thumb is what she felt was important to say lacked saying a lot about being sorry for what happened. Lacked apologies for her part of the relationship. Lacked acknowlegement of the severity of the crime.
Instead, we hear about selling T-shirts and donating her locks of hair.

She is very bizarre and very scary person to me.

Lets hope this phase finishes soon. She should not be given a platform for anything else she can spew. It is not worth it for anybody's sake. It is just nonsense and her sentence needs to be handed down swiftly.

What time does it start? Or in how many hours does it start as I am in Sydney?

I think I heard 9:30 AM Arizona time. Which i think is 12:30 PM Eastern Time (lunchtime) if I am not mistaken.

Somewhere on the internet, there should be a conversion website to be able to convert Eastern Time to Sydney Austrailia time.

The trial starts 3 hours from now. Because we turned the clocks back there is only a 2 hour difference in the time. So it will be 11:30 EST.

It seems she's so narcissistic that as long as she is the center of attention, she doesn't care how negative that attention is.

Hi Hatfield and Estelle

We (EST) just moved our clocks back one hour, and Arizona did not. So now there is a 2 hour difference. 9:30 Arizona time is 11:30 EST ~

9:30 am Monday in Phoenix Arizona is 3:30 am Tuesday in Sydney ~ wow
Estelle, you are 18 hours ahead !!!

I'm hoping Nurmi finished up with this drivel and Juan can do his thing.

Agree.

I bet she would make a good case study for a lot of physchologists.

She shows all the signs of being a genuine sociopath. For most people, I would think, and for me certainly, it's almost impossible to imagine having a mind with no conscience. The way she killed him and then just carried on with her life like it was nothing, and lied so easily and convincingly when suspicions turned towards her. It's like killing him wasn't really important to her, it was just a decision she made, and so she did it, and then focused calmly on doing everything she could to get away with it. Never have her actions or motivations been inspired by anything like a conscience, at least that I see.

Ms. Fonseca claims Jodi loved Travis, and "love makes people do crazy things". Did she name any crazy thing Jodi did besides putting up with and not leaving Mr. Hyde the sociopath? Will she excuse the brutal slaying as a "crazy thing" caused by TA's commitment issues?

I'm hoping Nurmi finished up with this drivel and Juan can do his thing.

I hope JM goes a little slower this time and keeps the focus on JA's pathologies. If Ms. Fonseca's bias/gullibility becomes obvious in the process, fine and dandy. But I think last time, several older holdouts were put off by the humiliation Samuels and AVL "suffered" at JM's hands. And when JM finally gets his turn, JSS better stop the Nurmi "approach-a-thon" right from the get-go.

Totally Agree.

A perfect example is her going to the funeral. Just WOW. She knew all his friends and family would be there. She knew by then some suspiciouns were coming at her and yet she boldly shows up to boldly face all these people when deep down she knew she killed him.

A normal person would never be able to do that. Even if you ever had to kill someone in real honest to goodness self defense, most people could never show up at the person's funeral they just killed.

This alone is very telling of a person with no conscience.

ETA...Oh, and I think she was hitting on some guy on the plane ride back from the funeral. Just like she was trying to have sex with the other guy right after she killed Travis. Jeepers.

So 3.30am in Sydney.

I suppose known psychopaths and sociopaths are very scary. She is void of feeling anything for anyone. The worst thing Nurmi could ever try to say is that Jodi loved Travis. He was NOTHING to her but a meal ticket.

Good morning everyone. :) Freezing here in Indiana. I am bound in by snow today. Making DH a chicken pot pie soup and ready for trial. I am dreading to hear what Nurmi and the good doctor will say. Hope he has lost the jury.

It was worse than that, it was his memorial, a gathering with the sole purpose of remembering him, reminiscing, celebrating his life, and mourning his death, and she goes there, and tries to socialize, and fit in, and pretend to be just as affected, sad, and confused as everyone else, it's about as diametrically opposite of normal as you can get.

I was just thinking about this last night. Just the very flippant way she went about this, like it was just another thing on her to do list. Go to bank, get hair done, get nails done, pass by Walmart, kill Travis, go see Ryan...
