American tourists have hit the news recently for being apprehended at Italian airports with large lumps of stone in their luggage - artefacts picked up from historical sites like Pompeii. This Russian tourist has gone one better though. He chose the revered Colosseum to carve a large letter K on, perhaps to leave his mark on history, as they say. He hasn't been named, but I wouldn't be surprised if his name begins with, ummm....K?
The Italian judiciary has certainly left its mark on him; he's been fined nearly $25,000 and given a suspended, four-year jail sentence.
