Police say Pearce met friends for dinner at a restaurant on East Ponce. They say she left alone, just before 11:00 p.m. and was walking to a nearby parking deck. Minute later, her body was found on the walkway.

(CNN) - A 34-year-old man being sought in a woman's death has been arrested in connection with the killings of two homeless men who were shot three days apart while both were sleeping on sidewalks, Atlanta police said Friday.

Aeman Lovel Presley was in custody, but police weren't providing further details about his arrest, said Sgt. Greg Lyon.

Presley, of Atlanta, also was wanted by police in Decatur, Georgia, in the fatal shooting Saturday night of a 44-year-old woman whose body was found behind an office building, according to police and CNN affiliate WSB.

Thanks for starting this thread amy. I expect this thread will be moved to the serial killer forum as more information is released. :(

Atlanta Police arrested Aeman Lovel Presley, 34, and charged him with killing two men while they were sleeping on the city's streets last month. Dorian Jenkins, 42, was killed Nov. 23 and Tommy Mims, 68, was found three days later. Both were homeless and shot multiple times while wrapped in blankets and sleeping on the sidewalk, authorities have said.

On Friday, police in nearby Decatur also issued an arrest warrant for Presley in connection with the Dec. 6 slaying of Karen Pearce. Pearce was shot while walking to her car after eating dinner in downtown Decatur...

Police said the gun used in the homeless murders was unique -- either an older Smith and Wesson Governor or a Taurua Judge. Those guns can shoot two different types of bullets. The bullets used in those shootings were also older, manufactured in 2010.

Atlanta police called the shootings of homeless men "sinister" because whoever pulled the trigger wasn't expecting to gain from the victims monetarily.

"A lot of our shootings involve robbery. A lot of our shootings involve someone making good on an old debt or some kind of revenge factor," Atlanta police Detective David Quinn told reporters earlier this week. "I don't know why someone would shoot two defenseless men."

The shootings happened during Thanksgiving week, within three days of each other. Three days, 3 miles apart

Police in Atlanta have arrested an aspiring actor and hairstylist whom they identify as the serial killer who fatally shot two homeless men, a woman in Decatur and at least one other person...

Presley, who was represented by an Atlanta talent agency, has two short movie roles to his credit, according to the International Movie Database’s website, imdb.com.

Oh, so the perp is a hairstylist, too? That's quite a coincidence, if Karen was a random victim.

On his FB profile he has a picture labeled "killer" and another "demon". I'd say that's just about right.

Channel 2's Carl Willis spoke to one man who says he walks past one of the murder scenes to get to work every day. Troy Lee says he now has a sense of relief.
"You didn't know walking down the street that it could be that person you pass on the street," Lee said.
Marcus Benning, who is homeless, said he was so afraid that he's been sleeping in a new spot.

This is so sad... It's like he was just killing for the fun of it.

Police have identified a fourth victim of a suspected serial killer already linked to the deaths of two homeless men and a Cobb County hairstylist, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Citing police sources, the station reports that Aeman Presley will be charged in the Sept. 27 fatal shooting of Calvin Gholston, a 54-year-old schizophrenic whose body was found in a breezeway at the Spring Mill Village shopping center on Memorial Drive in unincorporated Decatur.

Investigators at the time said Gholston was shot multiple times in what they described as a “brutal homicide.”

But what about the differences? One of the victims, Karen Pearce who was murdered in downtown Decatur on Dec. 6, has little in common with the other alleged victims...

Presley confessed to the murder of Pearce after investigators read him his rights. He gave investigators details that hadn’t been shared with anyone, not even family members, including where to find Pearce’s wallet.

Decatur Police Chief Mike Booker said during the conference that police hadn’t suspected Pearce’s killing was tied to that of two homeless men until Presley was arrested.

The man charged with murder in the deaths of two homeless men, a female hairdresser, and a man who was shot multiple times as he slept in an alley waived a preliminary hearing Tuesday, delaying the release of details that likely would have emerged through a detective's testimony...

Atlanta police Detective David Quinn, who had been prepared to testify at Presley's preliminary hearing, declined to comment after the hearing was canceled, citing the integrity of the case. Police have refused to comment on a motive behind the killings, saying only that Presley was a very violent individual.

I just watched The First 48 featuring this case. The detective who interviewed AP and obtained the confession was amazing to watch in action. He was as humble as he was talented. I wish he wasn't so close to retiring (and that we could clone him :cow:

Aeman Presley, man charged with killing four in Atlanta area, was driven by "bloodlust," investigator says - CBS News
[...]
Atlanta police Detective David Quinn (featured on The First 48: "Blood Lust")interviewed Presley for about six hours after his arrest. Presley confessed to the four killings and told the detective about his life, the statement says.

Presley didn't believe he was "a biologically malevolent person," but he felt that some of his experiences gave him a "murderous spirit," the statement says. Those experiences included: his father's [ii](AP stated in his TF48 confession that his father was in LE)[/i] early death, his mother's illness when he was young and seeing others abuse her, his involvement in the Gangster Disciples street gang in Chicago, and the violent lyrics of rap music.
