Ten years have passed since 22-year-old Damien Sharp was reported missing.

The Warren Police Department continues searching for Sharp, who was last seen when he was reportedly dropped off for a Memorial Day weekend party, in Warren, in 2002. However, they now look for his remains, since the case was ruled a homicide several years ago.

Sharp left his apartment on that weekend, telling friends he would be back shortly. He never returned.

I remember this was one of the first MP cases I became interested in a few years ago. I watched an interview with his Mom or was it a documentary...? Documentary, I think, about this particular case.

<<Damien Mark Sharp, a former student of Warren Area High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division, was last seen during the Memorial Day weekend in 2002. After serving in Bosnia, Damien had returned to his hometown, living in an apartment on Cedar Street in Warren, Pennsylvania.

Just a week before his disappearance, Damien suffered a knee injury at Masterskater, an indoor skate park, which forced him to use aluminum crutches. On the eve of May 24, 2002, Damien hosted a party at his apartment, surrounded by friends and the familiar comforts of home.>>

<<Damien was last seen around 5:00 pm after being dropped off at the corner of Prospect and Dahl Street. He spent about an hour at a friend’s place at Prospect Mansions and parted ways around 6:00 pm. They planned to reconnect at a Memorial Day weekend party on Brown Run Road, but Damien never arrived, marking the start of his inexplicable disappearance.>>

<<Initial searches in June 2002 spanned land and water areas, focusing on camping sites, but the outcomes were never disclosed. In a dramatic turn, the case was reclassified as a homicide in March 2003 due to suspicious circumstances, though specific details were not revealed. A witness later claimed that Damien was killed over a drug dispute and concealed in cement near Big Ben Overlook in Warren. Despite this claim, no charges have been filed in connection to his disappearance.>>
