SW Dade Man Vanishes Under Gruesome and Mysterious Circumstances
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) --MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade Police are searching for a missing southwest Miami-Dade man who vanished under suspicious circumstances. Miami-Dade police were called to a home at 12010 SW 148th Street Road where Carlos Nino, 54, lives with his sister and 32-year-old nephew. Nino’s sister says she went out of town for a few days, leaving Nino and his nephew had stayed behind.

When Nino’s sister and other relatives returned, they couldn’t find their several dogs, their cat or Nino. After searching the home and surrounding grounds, they found the animals buried in shallow graves in the yard. Police said the cat’s throat had been slit. The others were also obviously killed. Inside the home they found Nino’s personal belongings including his wallet and keys. His gray Volkswagen was parked in the driveway. The nephew has been detained and police plan to question him about Nino’s whereabouts.

Why? Why the poor, defenseless pets?????

After chain smoking cigarettes and blasting music, Carlos Zuluaga became so incensed he killed the family’s four pets and beat his uncle to death, tying his hands with an electrical cord, wrapping him in a rug and depositing the body in a barren field six blocks from his home, police said. Family members say Zuluaga suffers from drug abuse and schizophrenia and hadn't taken his medication for three months. The mother called her brother throughout the weekend and he told her that Zuluaga, her son, “was not allowing him to sleep by smoking cigarettes and playing music all night.’’
