Over 60,000 residents of Catalonia, North East Spain were warned to stay inside Thursday after a vivid orange cloud of toxic chemicals descended on their homes.
After a couple of hours the cloud dispersed and authorities assured residents the orange cloud wasn't toxic but just an 'irritant' caused by an explosion at a chemical warehouse. They warned pregnant women, the young and vulnerable to continue to stay indoors though.
The chemicals that caused the cloud were thought to be Nitric Oxide and Ferric Chloride, for anyone with a knowledge of chemicals amongst us.
