I noticed that DoeNet has come up with a few new cases that weren't listed in NamUs, or anywhere else (AFAIK). They linked to a pretty recognizable PM photo of him, so I created a facial reconstruction.

Although there are no photos available for Paul Vernon Trowbridge, he seems to be a pretty solid possible for this John Doe.

Spokeo lists a Paul V.Trowbridge that lived in Eaton, who would be in his 50's if he were alive...

Thanks, Treelights. If that is the same PVT (and it looks like he is), he doesn't look like our John Doe. He has a much more prominent nose.

This photo of PVT was taken in 1977-78 (i.e., about 13 years prior to his disappearance)

Great job on the reconstruction. I'm always impressed at how you pretty much bring a dead person back to life, especially with PM photos that are a little harder to look at (like this one).

The fact that he apparently didn't have any clothing and was found in the snow immediately made me think of hypothermia. People with severe hypothermia will become delirious and may feel as though they are overheated, so they start stripping off their clothing. It's called paradoxical undressing and it's found in a significant chunk of hypothermia victims. I wonder if LE searched the area for any clothing.

By the way, does the UID look possibly Hispanic and possibly as young as 25 to anyone else?

FWIW, he was 5'7" and 120 lbs, I've known mostly "smaller" Hispanic men.

My first thought was, "OMG, that's John Reamer (missing from Montana)!" But Reamer didn't go missing until 1994, so that's out. Reamer is Makah Nation.

Apparently Paul Vernon Trowbridge was found last month in Kentucky when he was arrested.
