No bond for mom accused in brutal attack on 4-year-old son
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas A mom has been charged in connection to a brutal attack on her 4-year-old son, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities named the woman and also released her mugshot early Friday.
Jenea Ann Mungia, 23, is charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury.
A probable cause hearing was held in the early-morning hours, but Mungia did not appear in court. She is now being held without bond.
In court, prosecutors said the young male victim suffered "multiple stab wounds to the torso, contusions to the head from blunt force trauma and his genitals were partially mutilated."
Deputies say the mother was still attacking the little boy when they arrived at the scene around 1:15 p.m. They tackled and handcuffed her.
