The suspected serial rapist is facing even more charges. The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office will serve Ron Young with warrants for a rape that occurred at Colonial Village in Bluffton.
On Wednesday, a Chatham County grand jury indicted Young on 31 charges. He's accused of raping and kidnapping five women at gunpoint in Chatham County. The new charges add criminal sexual conduct in the first degree and kidnapping.
"We knew the DNA from the South Carolina crime scene matched the DNA from the Georgia crime scenes," said Beaufort County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Debbie Szpanka. "So once we put a name to that DNA, we knew who it was.
