Single dad waiting tables gets reason to smile

Single, hardworking dad Brian Maixner has had dental problems his whole life. Repeated infections left him with a blackened smile but he could never afford to get his teeth fixed. He didn't let it get him down though and workmates and customers at the cafe in Wichita, Kansas, where he works as a waiter were always impressed by his cheerful confidence.

In fact, customer Fred Boettcher was so impressed, he left a $25,000 tip for Brian to buy himself a new smile.

No matter what religion you might be or whether you even believe in an after life the way to be satisfied in your life is to be kind to everybody and be as generous as you possibly can be," Boettcher said.

'As happy as that fella may be it feels so much better to be able to put a smile on his face."
