A while back, Turkey attracted attention all over the world with catchy music used for an airline ad. Now it's happened again, but this time it's a Samsung ad there, which was made to publicize its new customer center for hearing impaired people.
The ad involved getting a whole bunch of townsfolk to learn sign language and then (with the secret help of his sister), giving a young deaf man called Muharrem the nicest surprise of his life. Hidden cameras filmed his growing amazement as he and his sister walked across town and everyone from the bagel storekeeper to a taxi driver uses sign language. Muharrem manages to retain his cool when a woman on an electronic advertizing billboard starts signing to him, using his name, but finally breaks down in tears when camera crews appear and tell him about all the studying his fellow townspeople have put in.
The video is at the link and subtitled in English. It's really lovely.
