Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that Deputies received a call late Friday night after a subject walking in the woods looking for a pet animal and stumbled across a suspicious bone. Deputies arrived on scene and believed the bone that was recovered was possibly human.
Sheriff Investigators and Texas Rangers started a search of a heavily wooded area early Saturday morning and quickly found other remains that were identified as human. Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that evidence found at the scene has raised concern that possible foul play may have been involved...
It appears that the human remains have been in the woods for several years. One pair of garments has also been recovered during the search... Investigators are continuing the search today for more evidence at the scene.

We have a theory on who the victim is, but at this point it is only an educated guess, the press release shows... Bridges declined to say whether the remains found may belong to someone reported missing in Nacogdoches County...
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, four people Gregoria Martinez, 29, Justin Farrell, 31, Michael Grimes, 31, and Jessica Schreiber, 31 were last seen in Nacogdoches County and remain missing...
Farrell was last seen driving a silver 1996 Dodge truck on May 11, 2004, DPS records show. Martinez was last seen on July 13, 2009, and Grimes considered endangered by DPS was last seen on Jan. 18, 1999.
