" Peel Sgt. Matt Small told The News the BMW the deceased woman was found in belongs to Teresa Hsin, a GTA spa owner who went missing Wednesday afternoon.

Small added the identity of the dead woman hasn’t been confirmed.

Hsin, 59, was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Rathburn Road and Hurontario Street.

Before she went missing, Hsin survived a vicious stabbing.

On Nov. 13, Hsin, founder and general manager of Relaxology Wellness Centre, a company with numerous locations across the GTA, including two in Mississauga, was stabbed repeatedly and left for dead outside her home."

" Established in Clarkson (1846 Lakeshore Rd. W.) in 2006, Relaxology seeks to help Mississaugans relieve stress, manage pain and achieve an overall sense of well-being, Hsin said in a 2009 interview. Services include reflexology (treating body pain by applying pressure to the feet and hands), spa treatment and massage therapy.

Hsin's company has been featured on webcasts. In 2009, then-mayor Hazel McCallion and other politicians were on hand when Hsin opened new locations in Mississauga. Hsin and Relaxology were also a sponsor of McCallion’s charity golf tournament in 2010. "

"Tudos said the coroner has attended the scene and a post-mortem will be conducted before the identity of the woman is released.

“We have to confirm with the coroner who it is (and) after that we will notify the next of kin, so there’s still a few more stages before we release any information on who that deceased person is,” Todos said"

Anybody know any more about the earlier stabbing?

I couldn't decide whether it was something where she was specifically targeted or if it was more like a mugging/robbery. It didn't say anything about anything being demanded/stolen. Just that she was stabbed by an unknown suspect.

This was the violent incident from last year..

"On Thursday November 13, 2014, at 11:00pm, the victim returned home when she was approached from behind by an unknown suspect. The suspect then stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the area. The victim was transported to the hospital where she underwent lifesaving emergency surgery."

Man convicted of murder for involvement in 2015 contract killing of prominent Mississauga spa owner

''Hsin, 59, a well-known local business owner, was reported missing by her son Eric Lu two days before her body was found in April 2015 in her parked BMW in a lot on Robert Speck Parkway, not far from her city centre home in Mississauga.

Eric Lu, the victim’s son, also stands charged with first-degree murder in connection with his mother’s death. Last month, a mistrial was declared in Lu’s case, after his counsel asked to be removed due to “ethical reasons.”

Lu’s case is scheduled to return to court Nov. 19. All three men were charged with first-degree murder in November 2015.

Hsin was the founder of Relaxology Wellness Centre, a company with numerous locations across the GTA, including two in Mississauga at the time of her death.

The Crown said that Dookhram assisted in the planning of the murder by conducting surveillance and reconnaissance on locations Hsin was known to reside and visit.

“He transported Justine Ordonio on the day of the murder so that he could be put into the back of that BMW,” Renwick said in his closing address to the jury. “He waited for communication from Justine Ordonio for when he was ready to be picked up after the murder and then when it was time he picked up Justine Ordonio and made good their escape,” the Crown said, adding Dookhram “accepted payment for assisting.”

''Eric Lu first reported his mother missing to Peel police on the night of April 8, 2015.''

''Assistant Crown attorney Alex Cornelius opened the first-degree murder case against Lu this week by saying Lu hired two men to kill his mother, Ming-Chien (Teresa) Hsin, “motivated by the prospect of receiving a million dollars and sole interest in his mother’s business,” the Relaxology Wellness Centre, which had two locations in Mississauga.''

''Laying out the Crown case, Cornelius told the jury they will hear evidence indicating that the men Lu allegedly hired — Mark Dookhram and Justine Ordonio — followed Hsin for days leading up to her murder. On the day of her murder, Lu hid Ordonio beneath a pile of clothing that he and a family friend had piled in the back seat of the car, the Crown said.

On April 8, Hsin drove her black BMW to a bank on Robert Speck Parkway not knowing that Ordonio was hiding in the back seat
, Cornelius said in his opening statement to the jury earlier this week.''

''Lu has denied any involvement in his mother’s death and has pleaded not guilty.

The trial continues.''

''The lawyer for a Mississauga man accused of murdering his mother told a Brampton jury it’s not plausible that his client would orchestrate an “elaborate murder scheme,” five months after saving her from another near-fatal stabbing.

In his closing address to the jury, Robb MacDonald denied that Eric Lu had anything to do with the killing of Ming-Chien (Teresa) Hsin, 59, saying the Crown has failed to prove the prosecution theory he was the architect of a murder-for-hire plot.

Lu and his mother were close and there was no “financial smoking gun,” MacDonald said, adding that although Lu had made inquiries about his mother’s life insurance policy, he didn’t stand to benefit — his grandmother, not Lu, was the benefactor.

Hsin was found stabbed to death in her car in the parking lot of a Robert Speck Parkway office tower on April 10, 2015, two days after Lu called police to first report her missing.

At trial, prosecutors argued Lu, who has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, made that missing-person call knowing his mother was already dead after helping hide her killer in the back of her car.''

''After three days of deliberation a Brampton jury has convicted a Mississauga man of first degree murder for masterminding the brutal stabbing death of his mother over her $1 million insurance policy, court officials have confirmed.

The jury, which began deliberations Thursday, found Eric Lu guilty on Sunday in the April 8, 2015 stabbing death of Mississauga spa operator Ming-Chien (Teresa) Hsin.''
