Police in New Jersey are searching for a missing man suffering from schizophrenia who might have traveled to NYC or Melbourne.

Henry Verdon, 82, of Berkeley Township, was last seen on July 3, 2014, at a bus station near his home. Police said he left his home without his prescribed medication.

Verdon has white hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black and silver Harley Davidson jacket. He's 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

I was unable to find any new information on this endangered missing man. Bumping for Henry.

Family needs your help in locating a missing man in Melbourne - Palm Bay Daily

“Henry has had a history of disappearing for weeks at a time, but he would always end up calling one of his family members,” Kelly Weber, a family member, told Palm Bay Daily.

“No matter what state he was in mentally his bouts of disappearing were habitual and almost routine,” Kelly added.

Henry's case is out of pending status, and has been changed to "Restricted" as of tonight. He's still showing up in my dashboard though. Will let you know if I see any changes.

Mr. Verdon was driven by a friend from Berkeley Township and dropped off at the Toms River Bus Station in Toms River NJ. Mr. Verdon advised his friend that he was going to New York City or Melbourne Florida. Mr. Verdon has not been heard from since. Mr. Verdon is an Army Veteran and frequents VA hospitals. The VA was able to flag his name as missing if Mr. Verdon arrived at any VA hospital in the country.

There is the bus depot and the park and ride. The relative in the 2023 article wonders if the bus depot had cameras but 10 years later it is likely the tapes were erased. It says a friend dropped him off but the friend must have left before ensuring Verdon got on a bus. The recent charge is $20 or so to NY and I don't know the cost to FL. It seems if he took the bus there should have been a ticket and passengers who had seen him. One article says he would be missing for weeks but check in with a cell phone, the 2023 article says he didn't have a cell.
