Two skeletons have been found in April 2015. The skull of the first was found by a hiker, and about 9 days later, when investigators went back to the site, they found another skeleton in the same area.
The first skeleton is believed to be a male, and is believed to have been at the site for at least 2 years, and possibly as long as 14 years.
The remains were found in Durand-Eastman park, a large wooded park that borders Lake Ontario, and is in the cities of
Rochester and Irondequoit. They were found about 60 feet off of King's Highway, which winds through the woods, with steep drop-offs on both sides. There has been quite a bit of erosion in the past few years, and crews have been working along the road in recent years to repair the eroded areas. There's a few houses along the road -- one not far from the site where the bodies were found. Also, the golf course is just north of where the bodies were found.
