63-year-old Marilyn Hartman, who has become known for her repeated attempts to stowaway on planes, has been caught again, at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

(She) was arrested at O’Hare International Airport on April 24 after officials found her loitering in a restricted area near a ticketing counter in the international terminal, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

Hartman had no ticket and offered no reason for being in the area, Sedevic said.

Her previous arrests for stowing away (or trying to) include planes in Los Angeles, Florida, San Jose, Phoenix and San Francisco.

Seriously, again??? :doh:Why can't they stop her? She's well-known here in the Bay Area. They forgot to mention Hawaii in her possible destinations. She lied and said she had Cancer and wanted to go "someplace warm". Think they stopped her that time.
Guess putting her name on a no-fly list wouldn't help, since she usually sneaks on without a ticket. She is mentally ill even though she looks harmless. She's done this many times and getting arrested doesn't deter her from doing it again.

It's very clear to me this woman won't stop until they lock her up.

They do arrest her, but not for any length of time, and as soon as she's released, she goes out and does it again.

Hartman's done it again. Twice. She was arrested Saturday trying to sneak through security at O'Hare in Chicago and, worryingly, was arrested at Midway Airport just the day before for causing 'a disturbance' on a plane. She actually had a ticket that time. She had only just been released from jail Thursday, for previous offences.

64-year-old Marilyn Hartman was arrested Wednesday at an airport bus shuttle center. She's scheduled to appear Thursday in bond court.

Hartman was released on probation to a Chicago nursing home in December, and ordered to avoid airports and Chicago's Union Station.

Hartman is now charged with felony probation violation and misdemeanor criminal trespass.

Dang, she just won't give up, huh? I realize there must be some mental illness at play here, but I wonder if she likes the attention when she gets caught? Craves the thrill? IDK.....this is just so odd.....

‘Serial stowaway’ Marilyn Hartman back in court

She faces charges after refusing to leave O'Hare Airport over the weekend.

She was also arrested earlier this month for boarding a British Airlines flight without a ticket. After the plane landed, the airline realized Hartman didn't have a ticket.

She's now being held without bail.

First of all, this lady clearly has some serious problems. I hope she can get some help. Otherwise she is going to spend some serious time in jail.

Second, she is seriously showing what a joke security and ticketing is. How in the heck is she even getting to the gate, let alone on the plane, without a ticket?!!!

Marilyn Hartman, 66, appeared before a Judge Wednesday couldn’t keep quiet during the court appearance, screaming out twice.

"Does your client have any family?" the judge asked, to which Hartman’s lawyer answered that she did. But then Hartman screamed, "No I don’t!"

When the Judge. asked if Hartman was under the care of a medical professional, the 66-year-old also yelled "yes!" Her lawyer, meanwhile, responded "no." She also said Hartman was having a “difficult time” and day.

Hartman is scheduled to return back in court in mid-February.

I realize she has problems, that what she is doing is illegal, etc., but I think agents should try this at every airport at least once a week. It shows where the holes are in security. The fact that she continues to do it shows the TSA/FBI that they aren't plugging the holes adequately.

A woman dubbed a ‘‘serial stowaway’’ for repeatedly trying to sneak onto commercial jets without a ticket has been ruled unfit for trial, a judge ruled Thursday.

The Judge ordered Marilyn Hartman, 66, to be sent to a secured mental health facility in Elgin, near Chicago. The ruling comes after psychologists for the defense and prosecution recommended Hartman undergo mental health treatment.

We would like to think airports are secure. Marilyn Hartman shows there are many holes.

'Serial stowaway' Marilyn Hartman to stand trial, given ankle monitor - CNN

Marilyn Hartman is mentally fit to stand trial, a judge in Chicago ruled Wednesday morning.

Hartman's bail was set at $10,000. Hartman, who will have to wear an ankle monitor, will live at a facility called A Safe Haven in Chicago for people who are awaiting trial.

Hartman will return to court August 27 for a status hearing.

On Tuesday, a Cook County judge was pleased to hear that Hartman, 70, is doing “quite well” at the West Side non-profit housing facility where she’s receiving support.

Hartman was ordered to appear in court again Feb. 19 for another status hearing.
