Daniel Boria of Calgary, Alberta thought it would be a good idea to tie a plastic lawn chair to 110 helium balloons and float off into the sky, hoping to land at the Calgary Stampede. He wanted to publicize his company.

He missed his target but survived. He's now facing charges.

what a noob - he better hope the runaway chair/balloons don't hurt anyone or that mischief charge of causing danger to life might be upgraded

The lawn chair and balloons are still floating somewhere in the sky.

"We're in the midst of tracking that down," said Boria's friend Conner Shauf.

Boria was released Monday morning. He's been charged with one count of mischief causing danger to life and one count for mischief to property under $5,000.
