FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -
A 15-year-old Center Line teen who is missing may be with a convicted sex offender, Farmington Hills police said.

In a statement Monday, police said SLG was last seen Saturday evening at the Knights Inn at Grand River Avenue and 10 Mile Road. Police said she may be with 36-year-old Timothy Allen Fulgenzi, who is an acquaintance of G's mother and a non-compliant sex offender...

Missing Center Line teen found with sex offender

Farmington Hills — A 15-year-old Center Line girl who disappeared two days ago was found Monday in Tennessee and a 36-year-old sex offender she was with was arrested, authorities said.

Farmington Hills police said Timothy Allen Fulgenzi was found at a Subway restaurant in Lebanon, Tennessee, after initially calling police in Michigan to tell them he wasn’t with SG.

“We received a call from Mr. Fulgenzi. Apparently he had learned maybe via social media that the police were looking for him so he contacted our detective who was in charge of the case,” said Matt Koehn, the assistant chief of police in Farmington Hills. “The detective was able to learn his location and we sent the Lebanon Police Department to where he was located where he was arrested.” ...

Sex offender faces federal charges for allegedly leaving Michigan with teen girl

Timothy Fulgenzi allegedly left with teen from Farmington Hills hotel; arrested in Tennessee

...According to the criminal complaint against Timothy Fulgenzi, he and the teen left a Farmington Hills hotel last Saturday and traveled to Tennessee.

Police put out a missing person report on the teen early Monday, and Fulgenzi ended up calling Farmington Hills police later in the day to say he wasn't with the teen.

According to the complaint, police were able to track the phone call to a restaurant in Lebanon, Tennessee, where local police found Fulgenzi with the teen.

A review of text messages between Fulgenzi and the teen revealed conversations about them moving to Florida, getting married and the teen being pregnant with his child, according to the complaint...

That is the question I ask myself all the time here on WS. I mean, we've all dated the wrong people and found out later they were not what they appeared (at least I have!) But when kids are involved you need to do due diligence. Not victim blaming here but mothers do not need to bring predators into the family circle. There are enough dangers for our kids in this world already. JMO etc

Timothy Allen Fulgenzi, 36, of Farmington Hills, has been charged by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan for the transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and commission of an enumerated sex offense while being required to register as a sex offender.

The case is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan.
