In the early morning hours of that day, investigators allege then-18-year-old Abraham Cruz Jr. armed himself with a weapon and, flanked by three others, fatally shot Nancy and Deborah Patterson outside of their Adams County home.

The weapon: A shotgun. The motive: Jealousy.

In this case, the jealousy wasn't entirely Abraham's own. Instead, he pulled the trigger for his then-25-year-old uncle Erasmo "Junior" Cruz in a vengeful act targeting his uncle's ex-girlfriend Deborah after the teenager had broken things off... He will face the homicide charges after he is extradited to Adams County, which could take several months.

For the others, Andujar died in October 2005, Garcia pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him and Erasmo is serving his time.
