Nobody saw nuttin? And ppl wonder why City of St Louis unsolved crime-solve rates are high. Not me.

{ETA: Glad to see updated story re arrest for one shooting. Wonder if any of the 150 ppl in crowd came forward w info.}

"One man died and a woman was injured in a double shooting Sunday night, St. Louis police said.The victim who died was taken to a hospital after the shooting in the 3300 block of Texas Avenue, police said.
He was shot at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. His name and age have not been released.
Police said another victim, a 40-year-old woman, was stable after being shot in the knee.
Police did not have information to release on a suspect.
Afterward, a crowd of about 150 people gathered and started rushing the scene, police said. Additional officers were called for assistance in clearing the area.
"Hopefully with all of these people on the scene, somebody will come forward and give us some information," said Lt. Paul Piatchek.
"Over the next seven hours, four more men would be shot — but survive — in four separate incidents...."

FWIW All five shootings happened within St Louis city, w higher crime rates than Ferguson, located in St Louis County.

I love how the crowd was 'rushing the scene.' Very helpful for LE when that happens. :facepalm:

It's a pretty sad state of affairs in many of the large urban areas when this sort of thing happens. I think it tends to demonstrate that lives don't matter.

Police say the shooting stemmed from drug activity over missing money. Police said the shooters threatened the 40-year-old woman because they believed the woman knew how drug money had been stolen.

A man 22, was arrested in the shooting, and police found a gun on him. Police did not identify him. Another shooting suspect known only by an undisclosed nickname was still at large Monday.

Afterward, a crowd of about 150 people gathered and started rushing the scene, police said. Additional officers were called for assistance in clearing the area.==========================================================

why were they rushing the scene? To intimidate the officers? To intimidate the witnesses or the victims? :waitasec:
