Wild horses run free at Assateague Island beaches in Maryland and understandably, sometimes get tempted by visitors' lunches.

A lifeguard, attempting to protect a family's lunch, had a narrow escape when a horse objected to being shooed away. Luckily, the energetic lifeguard managed to somersault away unharmed from the kicks that were aimed at him. Not sure where he learned it was a good idea to stand behind a wild horse and flap something at it.
