BPD searching for missing and endangered woman

"BOISE -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a Boise woman who disappeared three weeks ago.

Forty-two-year-old Ronie J. Parrott, who also goes by Ronie Jones, was last seen Aug. 24.

Investigators say they have not found any evidence of foul play, but have information that makes them concerned for Parrott's safety. Police did not give any specifics about that information."

Sheriff: Missing woman found dead in Boise Foothills was murdered

A woman found dead in the Boise Foothills earlier this year was murdered, Ada County Sheriff's detectives say.

Death of Ronie Parrott ruled a homicide; case still under investigation

Ada County Sheriffs Office detectives have been investigating the case as a homicide since February, when a woman walking her dogs on Sunset Peak Road north of Boise found human remains in the remote Foothills area.

Detectives have completed dozens of interviews and gathered a significant amount of physical evidence since February, and are waiting on the results of some forensic testing.

Detectives have a strong working theory about what happened but no warrants have been issued in connection with this case at this time.

The coroners office issued a release Tuesday where they officially determined Parrotts manner of death was a homicide and the cause of death were multiple gun shots.

There have not been any updates on this case in a while. From what I can tell there is a suspect but not enough evidence to prosecute. IMO this case is right in that critical phase where something new could resolve things, if not before long it will be cold. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen.
