I haven't seen anything on this person yet. He has killed at least three women. My worry is that there could be others. I have not found much on this man at all. This person needs serious sleuthing.

Here is the main story and background.

The murders are said to have occurred on Tuesday, September 22nd 2015:

The suspect arrested after a five-hour manhunt that spanned more than 100 kilometres west of Ottawa yesterday appeared briefly in court Wednesday to face three charges of first-degree murder involving women he knew.

Basil Borutski, 57, is accused of killing Carol Culleton, 66, Anastasia Kuzyk, 36, and Nathalie Warmerdam, 48. Their bodies were found at separate locations by Ontario Provincial Police Tuesday morning within a roughly 25-kilometre radius of Wilno, Ont.

During his court appearance in Pembroke, Ont., Borutski was forbidden from communicating with more than 10 people. He was returned to custody and will next appear in court by video on Oct. 5.

Kuzyk and Warmerdam had previously been in relationships with Borutski, friends have told CBC News.

His brother, William Borutski, told CBC News Wednesday that all three women were former partners of Basil Borutski, and that his "heart and soul" goes out to them.

Not sure why the CANADA pulldown for the title didn't work on the OP.

Borutski has a lengthy criminal history, including charges involving two of the three women, court records show.

In July 2012, Borutski was convicted of uttering threats to kill an animal that belonged to Warmerdam.

A year and a half later, in January 2014, Borutski was charged for assault, choking, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of a weapon despite a weapons ban against him in relation to an incident involving Kuzyk, who had at one time dated him.

Borutski was convicted on those counts, was sentenced to 19 months in jail, submitted to a DNA collection order, paid hundreds of dollars in victim surcharges and was released on probation with a lifetime weapons ban.

While residents told CBC News Borutski was released about three weeks ago, Ontario's Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services said Thursday that Borutski was released on Dec. 27, 2014.

I am worried this monster may have killed other women.

Has his DNA been cross referenced in the Sonia Varaschin case? What was his occupation? Where did he live in the past?

Charges that he also allegedly threatened to kill his ex-wife, assaulted Warmerdam and failed to keep the peace were stayed at the request of the Crown prosecutor.

CBC News is not naming the ex-wife out of respect for her privacy.

Other incidents date back to early 2000s

The incidents involving Warmerdam and Kuzyk weren't Borustki's first.

He was charged with harassing another woman between January and February 2010, a charge which was stayed at the request of the Crown later that year.

Then, in July 2011, he was charged with assaulting yet another woman and with failing to keep the peace. Those charges were also stayed.

In June 2012, about a month before threatening to kill Warmerdam's dog and hurt her relative, Borutski consented to a $500 peace bond after he was charged with threatening to kill his ex-wife between 2000 and 2008, and of assaulting her in August 2008.

Both of those charges were stayed when the peace bond was agreed to.

In September 2012, Borutski assaulted an OPP officer who was trying to arrest him, and also assaulted one of his own relatives. A charge that he urinated on the wall and carpet of his cell was stayed.

It was that same OPP officer who laid the charges against Borutski in the incidents involving Kuzyk, Warmerdam, his ex wife and the other two women, documents show.

The same officer charged Borutski with failing to provide a breath sample in January 2010, for which Borutski was fined $1,200.

Even though Borutski's signature doesn't appear on the probation order to stay away from Kuzyk, he still would have been legally obligated to follow it, said Trevor Brown, president of the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa.

"The probation order takes effect the moment the person steps out of the door of the prison," said Brown.

"Typically the defence lawyers aren't there when the probation order is signed, though, from my experience, most often the probation orders are signed," Brown added.

His DOB and address from 2013 is on the probation order (which he refused to sign).

All three women were killed on Tuesday. Police found their bodies within a three-hour span. It led to a widespread manhunt over a 200-km stretch between Pembroke and Ottawa.

Borutski, 57, went to jail in 2014 for a assaulting Kuzyk in December 2013.

In September 2014, a judge put him on two years probation. The terms of that probation required him to stay away from her and not to contact her.

But Borutski refused to sign that order, according to a hand-written note on the portion of the form where the offender is supposed to sign.

“Offender refused to sign,” it says over the signature section.

Before his arrest, Basil Borutski lived in unit 204 of the Raglan Meadowvale Apartments, a two-storey public housing project in tiny Palmer Rapids.

Today, of course, neighbours are parsing his past.

On Monday evening, Shirl Roesler, 55, distinctly remembers Borutski saying a most striking thing, while complaining about a newly failed relationship with Carol Culleton.

“All he said was, ‘Karma’s gonna get her,’ ” said Roesler, as an OPP detective stood nearby, gun on his hip.

Neighbours say Borutski first moved to the village when snow was on the ground, sharing with his daughter a place on Schutt Road, just a stone’s throw away.

By springtime, he was in the Meadowvale, with a balcony overlooking Highway 515 and Hannah’s Foodmart. It is a tranquil, restful place.

Of all the tenants, Roesler believes she came to know Borutski best. He would borrow her car, a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus, several times a week, to the point where he had his own set of keys.

In exchange, he did mechanical work on the vehicle.

She said he was travelling regularly to his “girlfriend’s cottage” on Lake Kamaniskeg, which we now know to be a crime scene.

He would complain about his sore back from all the manual labour he was doing at the lakeside property, she said.

She also said she received a text from Borutski Tuesday morning saying he had left the car at the lake, with $100 on the dash to pay for gas.

The next thing she knew, she heard his name on the radio as a homicide suspect.

“I couldn’t believe it. I can’t believe it. That’s not the man I knew.”

She said her car has now been seized by police and she was impressing on an OPP detective about her need to get it back soon.

“He was an angry man. He was hurt,” said Roesler. “He never went into details.”

He was hurt???? Please....
