This one is way off in age, and the eye color is off, but there is a physical resemblance, especially of the second image offered.

I don't really see it, sorry. I know that this unidentified man was found in Oregon, but he has a look that a lot of New York men (and some Los Angeles men have). I can't exactly put my finger on it. David Cunningham doesn't have it.

I agree -- he looks exactly like a member of my Irish-Italian New York family. Except for the being exceptionally tall.

If he doesn't have some Italian or Hispanic in his background, I would guess a little Native American... which makes sense in the Northwest.

This man is so distinctive -- hard to believe he hasn't been identified.

I think the teeth are way off.

He does have perfect teeth, doesn't he? It looks like the John Doe has a broken front tooth. They didn't have dental records posted to let us know if it was broken post or ante mortem. I guess I was looking at the forehead, brow line, shape of the nose and the unevenness of the cheek bones. :dunno:

I agree that the broken tooth shown could have happened during a fight just prior to being thrown in the river, if he met with foul play, for example.

There is huge gap in time and the circumstances are off, but I really think that he could be David Reuben Boniske. They are both very tall (David is 6'5") and have brown hair and hazel eyes. Plus, although [I would assume] he is from Washington state, David really has that "New York look" that the UID has; the UID is just a bit older, heavier, and balding.

In addition to the broken front tooth, the dental records on this UID reflect a lot of work--2 crowns or caps and 10 fillings. They also note possible previous orthodontic treatment.

I heard back from Janet Franson, David Boniske has been ruled out as being this UID. He was sort of a long-shot because of the amount of time between when David went missing and when the UID was found.

Prior to him being ruled out, Janet Franson asked me if the missing person had Marfan syndrome (I have no idea if he did). I wonder if this means that the tall guy in the river did? It sounds like it to me.

I was browsing around the-seeker.com and found this posting that reminded me of this man. There is no date and the email address does not work.

"Hello we are searching for our brother Larry Shane Kelley. We havnt heard form him in 5 years. It has been 4 years for dad. www.the-seeker.com would be much more useful if it were indexed in some meaningful manner.

in any event, Larry Shane Kelley has the wrong hair and eye colors to be this UID.

They updated the profile to include new images. Also, regarding the DNA they have it listed as samples submitted with a UPS tracking number.

It says it was modified Nov. 30 2012. I'm a little behind I see.

Thanks for posting, Beamie, you're on a role today!

The first thing I thought is, I bet CarlK would be able to do a better reconstruction. The nose and face shape aren't accurate.

The second thing is, I wonder if his front tooth was chipped before or after he died?

Last but not least, why couldn't they find a cause of death if he'd only just died? Did they just assume he must have drowned, and so not bothered to do a proper autopsy?

Or did they do an autopsy, and find he didn't drown? Could he have had some kind of condition that caused him to have a heart attack or seizure?

Just an idea: if you put "extremely tall" in the thread title, could it attract more interest?

Is there another thread title? I thought there was only the one at the top.

Yes, I've been working hard today! :blushing:These are just some of the cases I've been trying to work on my own, but I'm stuck. And there's little, to none, informations about these cases

I meant you could edit the thread title (there's only one). It may be too late though.

Well done for your hard work, I hope someone can help you help these people.

Are there any newspaper articles about this man?
