http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16551427/ I just ran across this today even though it happened earlier in the week. That is so sad when so many people would have taken that baby and raised him with love. There are other names that might fit her but Mother is not one of them.

I wonder if in her mind she thought the baby was as bad as its dad? Maybe that is why she didn't want it to live. Only a guess of course. I just don't understand why she didn't leave it at the hospital. Put it up for adoption? Anything but murder the poor little guy.

Heartbreaking story...... good thing the woman's 3 yr old is living with her father

Despite a massive hunt by Queens homicide detectives at a Pennsylvania landfill where the contents of the dumpster would have been sent, Anthony Rojas’ remains were never recovered.

The NY Daily News website reported in a story on January 30, 2009 that Lucila Rojas, 27, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for killing her newborn son. Apparently, Rojas, a Bronx resident, is accused the violent crime of smothering her infant son on a city bus, then disposing of the body in a sidewalk trash can.

Richard Buchter, Queens Supreme Court Justice, said "You've expressed some remorse. I can only infer from the monstrosity of this crime that it is weighing on your soul.”
