Becky Watts trial: Shauna Hoare lied about kidnap texts

Shauna Hoare denies murder and conspiring to kidnap 16-year-old Becky Watts with her boyfriend Nathan Matthews

'Violent and controlling'
In one of the messages, sent between November and December last year, Ms Hoare wrote: "Just went into Costcutter and saw a pretty petite girl. Almost knocked her out to bring home lol xoxo."
Mr Matthews replied 20 seconds later urging her to "do it".
Ms Hoare said she "massively" regretted lying to police.
"One, I should not have lied and, second, because of the way it looks, I should have told the truth in the first place," she said.

I mentioned very early on in this case that I have known a few hoarders in my life, and neither of them ever noticed the absolute stench that came from their homes.

Oh yes I agree, I've known some houses that smelt rank

But the smell of a body is quite different, and overwhelming.
Once it had been packaged I doubt it smelt, but it been in their house a while before that unpackaged and smelling (probably never opened windows much either !!), that was the point I failed to make clear.
That is what JI noticed I believe.

Additionally, body was being dismembered over a 2-3 day period!

Thanks Google maps suggests 18 minutes and they always seem to over estimate so yup, 10-15 is poss.

Just copying these snippets from UK and Eire JIs comments today.
The first one showing any remorse or using genuine language when describing the shock of what happened to Becky.

The sort of comments that I would have expected SH to say, being as it was her partner who committed the crime.

Says he was 'upset, shocked and disgusted' when he found out what had happened to Becky and what was in the bags & boxes

JI and KDs workmate also mentioned them talking about the money and how to spend it.

He recounted one night shift when Demetrius got a phone call and was on the phone for five to ten minutes.Mr Bignell said: "He approached Jamie and was talking about a job.

"They were getting paid quite well for doing it. I'm not positive who was on the phone.

"I heard his brother's name mentioned."

Mr Bignell said Karl Demetrius seemed "quite keen" to do the job, especially after the money was brought up, and Ireland was "very interested".

"I made a joke asking if it was weed?

"They both just ignored me. They carried on talking."

Mr Bignell said the other two men then sat by each other.

When he overheard mention of the works van, he told them: "If you are doing something dodgy, I wouldn't use the work van, it's not worth losing your job over."

Demetrius agreed, he said, before the two men left.
