" BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. - A Midway area couple is still unaccounted for after deputies say their home and one of their vehicles were set on fire over the weekend. Their names are not yet being released.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) says investigators were back at the scene Monday morning after the Saturday night arson at 447 CR (County Road) 508.

Around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, an Arkansas State Police trooper was flagged down by a driver reporting the house fire.

The Trooper went to investigate and found the home engulfed in flames. The Midway Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene.

One vehicle belonging to the couple residing there was still at the house, but their second vehicle was missing. Due to the intense residual heat from the fire, investigators could not immediately search through the debris."

IMO this one will not end well. It's terrible for people to live out their entire life's then it all end badly. Breaks my heart. Do we know anything about family ?

There is not much more info being released. Here is an update: http://www.arkansasmatters.com/news...y-couple-still-missing-after-home-set-on-fire

"Sheriff Montgomery, says his office doesn’t know if the couple was inside the home at the time of the fire, which is why cadaver dogs are being brought in to assist in the search efforts."

The only things I've seen about the Rices were that they lived there a long time, and that they were a nice couple. Unfortunately, I think they will be found in that house. :(

Here are a few comments under the article here about the vehicle fire being reported on Saturday, but LE didn't check it out until Sunday. https://www.facebook.com/bulletin.newsroom/?fref=nf

Human remains have been found in the debris of a burned Midway home belonging to two Baxter County residents who have been missing since the house was set ablaze Saturday, the sheriff's office said.

The remains were found Tuesday afternoon while officials searched through the debris of the house in what is now being considered a homicide, according to a release from the Baxter County sheriff's office. The remains were removed and sent to the state medical examiner in Little Rock for analysis and identification.

The release does not specify how many sets of remains were found.

Not surprising, but very sad. I hope they find out who did this.

the faces of meth, those ones.

While I am sure they are guilty based on police evidence, I don't see any of the extraordinary thinness of face or 'tweak' skin marks that are common of meth users.
