-This guy definitely has red hair in his photo. It looks to be about the same texture as the UID strands.
-he is classified as disabled, but that could mean not physically (i.e. there would be no identification on this basis), perhaps developmentally disabled
-he also appears to have an eye droop: head injury?
-he went missing about the time we're looking at

-the 1991 photo looks quite like our UID. Juxtaposed: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/chouinard_michael.html

I checked Google: above were only references available.

This seems to be the extent of information on this MP.

DONE

Just wondering if there is any connection between Michael J. Chouinard and the Jim Chouinard that went missing with Milan Vucurevich Jr. in 1984? Does anyone have any information on relatives??

I keep thinking this guy looks the closest to our UID recreation. I wish we had a picture of Chouinard standing. Our UID had such long legs and it might be something noticeable in a full length picture. (Maybe this guy was a sort waisted long legged person?)

Chouinard is a fairly common French-Canadian name, apparently. I think it's probably coincidence.

I liked this guy as a match, too. He really does look like the reconstruction. I was sorta hoping there was a skull deformity underlying his eye droop and that might be a way of addressing the match. Also, if he had a limb deformity, it might show up on a skeleton; presumably, though, this would have been listed in missing reports, since the tiny detail of a mole is listed. If it were a disability like poor vision or hearing, surely that would have been listed too since it would be obvious identification? I'm thinking developmental disability or head injury: I would be very sad if this was our guy.

Also, Chouinard looks as though he might have a pretty full set of teeth, since his mouth isn't caved in. Since he went missing just before our UID died and our UID had long-standing missing teeth IIRC, this might argue against a match. Unless, of course, Chouinard has false teeth in his photo.

Isn't our UID's red hair mixed with a few strands of grey? 28 would be a bit young?

Jim Chouinard and Vucurevich were presumed drowned in 1984. Michael J disappeared in 1991.
Lots of Jim and Michael Chouinards!

I googled "Michael J. Chouinard" and "Jim Chouinard" (both together, not separately, so as to answer your question) and came up with these lists right off the bat: http://publicrecords.directory/profiles/jimmy-chouinard.5711004.html and http://www.publicrecords.com/people-search-records/michael-chouinard

Maybe these will help answer your question?

On the Chouinard name and my thought not to get too consumed over Chouinards showing up here and there....

Are you familiar with the brand Patagonia? Patagonia used to be called Chouinard. Before maybe 1982. It was founded, if I recall, by Yvon Chouinard.

Maybe our isotope information will have bearing on this MP as far as a match with the UID. There are potentially not enough weeks between MP disappearance and UID TOD? He'd have had to get himself from the south to an IR2 zone hang out there for a while and then intermittently and then hang out in IR1 and then move around a bit? That's 12 weeks.
