HUMAN REMAINS LOCATED – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives responded to a call of human remains that had been located in Golden Valley early Monday (11/23) afternoon. Approximately 1:20 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Teddy Roosevelt at Tapeats Drive and met with the reporting party, a retired Sergeant from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. The reporting party said that she was horseback riding with friends when they came across a human skull and some bones. Deputies followed the reporting party as she rode horseback to the location, north of Shinarump Road.

The Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office recovered the human remains. Identification and cause of death are pending autopsy results. This incident remains under investigation.

A set of human remains found in the desert south of Interstate 40 last year has been identified as a missing Lake Havasu City woman.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, the remains were identified as Marie Brodine, 65, of Lake Havasu City; however, the cause of death has not been determined.

RIP Marie. :rose:

I found this post yesterday but I wasn't sure if it was actually her or not, as the details don't match up. I think this is someone else. They may have been identified anyway as the namus entry does not exist any more.
