Alf Freddie Clark is being sought as a witness, according to a police news release. Police have not yet identified any suspects...

Clark has an extensive criminal history, but he is not the same Alf Freddie Clark who became notorious as a suspect in the 1992 Drake Diner shootings, Parizek said. That man was Clark's nephew...

A homicide case from late last year is also still open, but police do not consider it unsolved, Des Moines Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Parizek said Wednesday. Tacono Conner, 36, was fatally shot Dec. 27, 2015, in the hallway of an apartment building in the 5200 block of South Union Street.

In that case, police have issued a material witness warrant for Alf Freddie Clark, 60, of Des Moines. The case is still open because no one has been arrested, but it is not considered unsolved because police are confident they have the evidence needed to charge a suspect, Parizek said.

Des Moines police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a person of interest in connection with the homicide of Tacono Conner, according to a news release.

Alf Freddie Clark has an outstanding material witness arrest warrant in connection to the case. Police believe Clark has returned to Des Moines.

Detectives have received reports that Clark has been disguising himself as a woman to avoid capture. He has been frequenting the south side of Des Moines, according to the release.

He is believed to be driving a small, red-colored pickup truck.
