Morristown Police Department looking for missing woman

MORRISTOWN (WATE) –
"The Morristown Police Department is asking for help in locating a missing woman.

Police are looking for 24-year-old Inesha Nicole Haygood, who was last seen on December 28, 2015 at approximately 11:00 a.m.

Haygood was last seen walking from her house at Lakeview Circle.

Haygood is a black female, 5’6” tall, and weighs approximately 120-125 pounds."

On our way to Vanderbilt today, I saw two missing posters for Inesha at a service station/convenience store. They were at exit 12 on I-81 south, in Hamblen County, where Morristown is located.
 
Clothing could belong to missing Morristown woman

Morristown, Tennessee -
"Inesha Haygood's family is hoping a new clue may help lead them to the 24-year-old woman who seemed to vanish weeks ago.

"She always calls home and lets me know she's okay. She hasn't called and she's never been gone this long. She never leaves town and if she does, its just close by," Brenda Haygood, Inesha's mother, said.
For weeks, Brenda Haygood has been searching frantically for Inesha, who has been missing since December 29. Her family said she was last seen driving with an unknown man.

We talked to Haygood's older brother who said he has a bad feeling something terrible has happened to his little sister."

Family members said that investigators have been focusing a lot of their attention on Enka Highway because Investigators may have found some of her clothing in a nearby tomato field. The family is still waiting on DNA results to see if the clothes and shoes found in that field are a match.

If Haygood isn't found by Friday, the family plans to hold a search party. They will meet on Saturday at noon at the Shell gas station off of exit 12 on I-81.

The Shell station they are meeting at for the search this weekend was where I saw her missing posters! My ten year old's birthday party is Friday and Saturday. Ugh!
 
6 inches of snow today, so far. Greeneville is closed. Morristown is bigger but we East Tennessee people just try to stay home. It will melt by Thursday or Friday though. It may make searching Saturday tougher. We are over our precipitation norms so it will be very soggy.

Family of missing Morristown woman starts own search parties

The family of Inesha Haygood, a missing Morristown woman, is starting their own search parties to help with the investigation.

ORIGINAL: Morristown Police looking for missing woman

"You're thankful you don't find her, but at the same time, it keeps us searching and looking for her. So, maybe we'll find her somewhere," said Inesha's mother, Brenda Haygood.

The family has received several phone calls about the location of Inesha's body. So far, none of those tips turned out to be true.

PREVIOUS: New clue in missing Morristown woman's disappearance

The latest anonymous phone call said Haygood's body was in the Cherokee Reservoir. The family has decided no tip is worth turning down.

"Might be true. A lot of it might be false. But you never know. The police department isn't telling us anything so all we have is leads," said Inesha's brother, Emanuel Haygood.

Driving home from Knoxville on I-81 North yesterday about 5:45 pm, I saw two LEO off the right side of the highway lights flashing, just into the woods. This was within a half mile of exit 12, where Inesha was last seen. They were cordoning off a small area and bagging something. I wonder if they found anything related to Inesha. And if they will tell us.

Family keeps searching for missing Morristown woman

Family members are still looking for a missing Morristown woman, but now they aren’t sure if they’ll find her dead or alive.
Inesha Haygood, 24, was last seen December 29 and hasn’t been seen since. Haygood’s family has been looking in and around Morristown for a month. They’ve gone to lakes, looked in tomato patches, anywhere they fear someone might have dumped a body.

Haygood’s family says the hardest part is not knowing if she’s alive.

“I’m praying she’s alive but I don’t think she is,” said Haygood’s mother Brenda. “But I’d still like to find her body.”

Brenda Haygood says she knows her daughter wouldn’t have just run away.

“If she was alive she would have done contacted me and her baby,” she said.

I live in Morristown, I am going to the candle light vigil on friday. this is the first i am hearing about any searches.

we also have one missing from Newport about 25 mins up the road.
