Barrie woman missing since Thanksgiving

Barrie, Ontario -
"The parents of 30-year-old Jamie Lee Miller are concerned about her whereabouts.

Miller was last seen by family and friends Oct. 3 and she last texted her family Thanksgiving weekend.

But she hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

“Her family reported it in November and we started interviewing witnesses,” Barrie Police Const. Sarah Bamford said.

Miller’s mom lives in Kanata, but her daughter’s lat-known address is in the Barrie area.

“Her family is very concerned because there’s been no communication whatsoever,” Bamford said.

Miller’s family said it’s out of character for her not to be in contact with someone."

ONTARIO COLD CASE: Could social media campaign solve Jaimee Lee Miller's murder?
BAR_Jaimee_Lee_Miller_sub_Super_Portrait___Super_Portrait.jpg
Jaimee had a large social circle in downtown Barrie, a group of friends she was always in contact with. But suddenly no one heard from Jaimee — she seemingly disappeared from the face of the earth. She was last seen on Monday Oct. 12, 2015.

After repeated attempts to get a hold of Jaimee, her mother, Maureen Murray, called police on Nov. 2.

Months went by without any news of her whereabouts. Then, on March 16, 2016, her body was discovered by someone walking their dog in the Simcoe County Forest in Springwater Township north of Barrie.

“There still remains a few people who despite our repeated efforts, choose to withhold what they know,” Gorry said. “I want those with answers to understand that regardless of your past you are not a target. This is not about you. It’s about Jaimee and those responsible for her murder.”
