Two brothers and their mother have been charged in the slaying of a Pawhuska oilman whose remains were found buried in rural Osage County earlier this month.

A Pawhuska oilman died of multiple shotgun wounds and his body was burned, likely after he died, the state Medical Examiner’s Office has found.

The death of Ricky Holt, 46, was ruled a homicide by the ME’s office. His body was found in a shallow grave in Osage County in September.

He had been shot in the head, upper back and neck, and much of his body was burned, the ME’s office said in an autopsy report.
