Lucy has been missing since last Friday. Her friends and family seem to have done a good job in getting people,to take her disappearance seriously.

As per the article you linked -- "Chen left her home in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough Feb. 19 without her cell phone or keys. She lives with her boyfriend."

That those two sentences are consecutive tells us about what the likely theory of her disappearance is.

Montreal police said the case is very unusual.

The Montreal police major crimes unit has taken over the investigation into the death of 41-year-old Lucy Hui Chen.

Police say they have ruled out suicide as a cause of death.
