Approximately aan hour ago two explosions occurred at the departure lounge near the American Airlines desk. 1 confirmed death with unconfirmed reports of the true number being 11 with 25 injured.

BRUSSELS: Two explosions have led to the evacuation of Brussels airport.
Belgian media reported that several people had been injured in the airport's departure hall. Police are talking about at least one death, with reports from the scene of 11 or more deaths.
One early, unconfirmed report was that the explosion occurred at an American Airlines check-in desk.

I had a feeling there would be retaliation for Abdelslam.When I was at the airport I had a thought for a second of a bomb being there,I am shaking.

OMG Cuffem. I can't imagine how you feel for one instant. But I feel how yr upset. And I would be too as would anyone.
I think many would of been waiting to avenge Abdelesam's capture. I'm just very lost for words. As I'm sure you are too. Keep safe Cuffem plz x

I don't think they've finished just yet though. I hope they have dissipated due to LE and Special Forces. I really hope I am wrong.

Ooh Cuffem, so good to hear you are home.... heavens ...

Not sure if this is a retaliation for Abdelslam, other sources are saying that he was planning this and that it is actually SMALLER because he was arrested and that other guy was killed.
 
I remember thinking how far you can get into the airport before security and someone could get in with a bomb.They have new security at the airport since 3 months ago but of course it did not work for us and we had to go through another way.Military was still present at train station and airport even alot of presense at Antwerpen port.It is not like Belgium was unprepared.I wonder if this could have been helped by someone inside.I have to go cry now and I am sure my phone will be ringing soon.Please pray for Belgium,it hurts me because I feel they are my people too.
