BREAKING NEWS The Washington Monument has been evacuated, according to local TV reports in the nation’s capital.
 
What is the Washingon monument again? (sorry, Canadian girl here)
 
It's that big tall slender pointy thing in the middle of Washington DC on the mall.
 
what with the threat to the NY subway yesterday, I'll bet that being overly cautious will be common place for the next few days.
 
New York's busy Penn Station returned to normal after a rush-hour false alarm caused by a suspicious substance found in a soda bottle near Amtrak's ticket counter, authorities said. New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly later said the incident "appears to be a prank" and the liquid was "a Drano-type substance." The scare came a day after authorities warned of a terror threat against the city's subway system.

It's terrible to have to live under these threats, subways, public buildings, aircraft straying out of their area etc... sucks the life right out of you :bang:
